It's time to pick those grapes!!
Yes, it's grape harvest time again at Erickson Bros Tree Farm and Vineyard. We will begin picking grapes on Friday, Sept. 7 and will be picking almost every weekend until the beginning of October. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the harvest. It's a great way to spend a morning or afternoon in the fall. We will feed you lunch and send you home with a bottle of wine from Wild Mountain Winery, the local winery where our grapes go to be made into wine. Here's what the daily picking schedule looks like:
9-11:30 - Picking grapes
11:30-12:30 - Lunch
12:30-3:30 - Picking grapes
We will be picking the following weekends:
Sept. 8 & 9
Sept. 15 & 16
Sept. 22 & 23
Sunday, Sept. 30
Oct. 6 & 7
Oct. 13 & 14 - if needed
We are also doing something special on Saturday, Sept. 15 - This will be our "Picking and Biking Saturday."
Here's the schedule for Saturday, Sept. 15
9-11:30 - Picking grapes
11:30-12:30 - Lunch
12:30 - 3:30 - Picking grapes
3:00-4:30 - Biking to Wild Mountain Winery - this is an 11 to 15 mile bike ride
4:30-6:00 - Wine and food
We will arrange a shuttle back to Erickson Bros from the Winery.
